Stabbing is city’s 2nd killing of day

LANCASTER — A man was stabbed to death Monday in Lancaster, the second killing of the day in the city.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide detectives responded at approximately 2:35 p.m. to the 43400 block of Sixth Street East for a stabbing death investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The victim was pronounced

dead at the scene. No further details were available by press time. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical-Examiner withheld the victim’s name Tuesday pending notification of next-of-kin.

The Monday afternoon fatal stabbing occurred less than 15 hours after an unidentified man was fatally shot shortly after midnight Monday in the 43900 block of Delgado Court, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
