Animal ID No.: A5480818 Animal name: Mozzarella Mayers

Mozzarella Mayers is a two-yearold, black-and-white, altered, female, Pitbull that came to the Palmdale Animal Care Center, on May 20, as a stray. She was keenly observing the medical staff but realized she was in good hands. She relaxed then and allowed being examined. She developed an upper respiratory issue, and was treated and recovered well. When the runner approached the kennel, she was at the front. The runner opened the gate and she attempted to door dash. The runner caught her with his loop leash before she could exit. She walked ahead of the runner with a hard pull on the leash and entered the pen. The runner knelt down and called; she confidently approached and was easily collared. When she went into the yard, she quickly approached a female Shepherd and exchanged a soft greeting. She broke away from the pair and began to explore the yard. She then approached the same female Shepherd and began to play bow in front of her. The invitation was accepted and play erupted. Mozzarella is vocal when playing with others. She remained social and preferred a gentle/dainty play style. She is recommended to a home with middle school-aged children. She seemed to be OK with large dogs. To visit Mozzarella, use the link and follow the instructions on how to create a self-scheduling morning appointment at the Palmdale Animal Care Center: https://linktr.ee/; https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/all-visits-to-theanimal-care-center-are-by-appointment-only/.
