FELDE, Suzanne Evelyn Morris

Sept. 9, 1940 – Sept. 20, 2021 Sue was born on September 9, 1940 in Eureka, Calif. She was the oldest daughter of Jack Morris and Evelyn McCutcheon Morris, sister to David Morris of Fortuna, Calif. (Gwynna Morris, Paul and Angela), sister to Claire Rogers of Ukiah, Calif. (Michael Rogers, Christine and Melinda).

Sue was raised in Eureka, Calif. where she had a special and loving upbringing with lots of friends, family and a strong sense of community. Even as recent as 2019, Sue still attended an annual girl’s trip with her kindergarten gal pals after 75 years of friendship. Much of her professional career was a

pharmaceutical technician and manager of a premier pharmacy serving such clients as the San Diego Chargers.

Suzanne was blessed with three amazing daughters, Tamera Lynn Winterberg of Grand Canyon, Ariz. (Brian Winterberg, Matthew and Sarah), Stephanie Claire Halley of

Fortuna, Calif. (Kurt Halley, Jamie, Jenifer and Cole), Michelle Denise Day of Reno, Nev. (Pete Day and Carter). Sue often said her girls were her greatest accomplishment.

She met the true love of her life, Major Lee Felde in 1985 in San Diego. The two married in 1986 and shared 36 beautiful years together. They had the

most precious love story. Lee became a member of Sue's life and shared the love and caring of her children and grandchildren as if they were his own. Sue and Lee moved to Lancaster in 1989 to start a new chapter thanks to

Lee’s career advancement at Edwards Airforce Base. She loved her fun new job at Gifts in the Attic where she met friends and gained strong community ties. She often joked that her position was nothing more than “putting bows on bags.”

Sue was invited to join the Alpha Charter Guild soon after they settled in town, where she contributed her time and talents to serve the community,

mostly benefiting the Antelope Valley Hospital. Sue served as Debutant Ball Chairman in 1995 and then as President in 1996. This is where she and Lee

met some of their most treasured and true friends and traveling companions, Kent and Barbara Sellon. These special friends enjoyed many cruises together with their most favorite being the Panama Canal trip. Sue and Lee also volunteered their efforts to the Rotary Club of Lancaster that benefited some of their favorite local charities, such as the Airman’s Attic.

Some of Sue's favorite pastimes include, cooking, party planning, entertaining, crossword puzzles and Hallmark movies (AKA Harry Hallmark). She always had a fierce love and loyalty to her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as her many friends. Sue loved life and had an infectious and warm smile that was not forgotten by those that met her. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in her honor on Saturday, September 25, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. For further details please contact the family at lsfelde@verizon.net.
